Mount Aconcagua is located at 180 kilometres to the west of Mendoza City. It’s the highest point of America. We propose a short trek to the foothill of the mountain, very close to Plaza Francia, the base camp of the South Face route. Walking three hours over trail we’ll arrive to Confluencia camp (3,400 masl) to spend the night. The following day, after four hours hiking we will be at the wonderful viewpoint of Aconcagua South face wall, it will be the highest point of the trip, then we will return to spend the night at Confluencia again.
Plaza Francia is a very nice trek to get to know how many people from all around the world start to acclimatize to make their summit dream come true.
