Day 1: Airport – Copiapó City
(800 masl – 2,624 feet). Transfer to Copiapó City. Hotel night.
Day 2: Copiapó City – Valle Chico
(3.300 masl – 9,840 feet). Transfer to Andrés Valley. Acclimatization hike. Tent night.
Day 3 Valle Chico – Santa Rosa Lagoon
(3.762 masl – 12,340 feet). Trasfer to the lagoon side camp. Hike around Maricunga Salar.
Day 4: Santa Rosa Lagoon – Verde Lagoon
(4.380 masl – 14,366 feet). Trasfer to the next camp. Acclimatization hike. Tent night.
Day 5: Verde Lagoon – Mt. Mulas Muertas Summit – Verde Lagoon
(5.897 masl – 19,342 feet). Acclimatization climb to Mulas Muertas peak. Return to Verde Lagoon. Tent night.
Day 6: Verde Lagoon – Atacama Camp
(5.250 masl – 17,220 feet). Transfer to advanced base camp. Tent night.
Day 7: Atacama Camp – Tejos Refuge – Atacama Camp
(5.750 masl – 18,860 feet). Port day to high camp. Return to the advanced base camp. Tent night
Day 8: Atacama Camp
(5.250 masl – 17,220 feet). Rest day at base camp.
Day 9: Atacama Camp – Tejos Refuge
(5.750 masl – 18,860 feet). Move to high camp. Tent or refuge night.
Day 10: Tejos Refuge – Ojos del Salado Volcano Summit – Tejos Refuge
(6.893 masl – 22,609 feet). Long day to summit. Return to high camp. Tent or refuge night.
Day 11: Tejos Refuge –Atacama Camp – Copiapó City
(800 masl – 2,624 feet). Return to the advanced base camp. Long transfer to Copiapó. Hotel night.
Day 12: Extra day
To be used in case of bad weather.
Day 13: Copiapó City– Airport
(800 masl – 2,624 feet). Transfer to the airport. End of services.

Foot
- Plastic boots: double or triple, with removable liner. Suggestion: La Sportiva Spantic, Scarpa Phantom Guide.
- Trekking shoes. Suggestion: La Sportiva Boulder, Assolo Salyan.
- Comfortable and lightweight shoes for rest days at base camp.
